One early morning

Life is a loop
Comprising of pain, happiness
Expectations, crests, troughs
And all these are written
In the blank pages of my diary
SometimesΒ scribbled
Sometimes corrected
Sometimes left all bare
For others to read
For her to read
One early morning
I saw her on the blue sofa
Which faces the balcony
Which faces the sea
And she had her specs on
Wow, I was so happy to see her
Wearing specs because she seldom does
And, she was reading the
Scribbled, corrected words loudly
As if to let me know of her doing
And I went to her
And picked her up and sat on the sofa
And made her sat on my lap
And she said, “Papa, what have you written?”
And her innocent sweet words and glow in her eyes
Acted as a time machine
And I was taken to my past
To the love of my live
To my better half
In her arms and the smiles exchanged
The kisses and hugs shared
While Masoom just hugged me
And slept on my chest
Just like her Mom used to πŸ™‚
