Am I the protagonist?
In real life, may be.
In fiction, of course, who ain’t?
A normal person
Thinks the same.
But what about a writer?
What does he think?
Does he always have to sit
At a coffee shop to
Feel the plethora of ideas
Rushing to him?
Or does he have to
Dream about them
And then write
And make his dream
The dream of others
Made by the beautiful, knitted words
The world of words
Sometimes written
By a pen or typed
And in the days
When these plethora of ideas
Keep on rushing
Even though you shut your brain
You gotta take help
Of a broken pencil or even a nib
To write them
And give your ideas power
And strength to shake the world
Having the rug swept out from under your feet
Tumble you down
So that you can stumble upon a writer
Within you
And give them words
And make them shout out loud…

Indeed a WOW poem to read.
I do agree the coffee shop environment isn’t a must but for me coffee/tea is definitely needed. π
I loved the core concept you have conveyed through your poem. Other than that I have to mention I liked the way you have used the words “tumble” and “stumble” . It might sound silly but I kept reading those two lines several times just to hear the sound of the words. π

Thank you Salvwi for your time & appreciation π while writing I was also reading the words tumble & stumble in loop for 5-6 times π for me there’s no compulsion of any beverage and hence I tried to convey that π glad to have you here π

The feeling which a writer feels is also unknown to me. I haven’t waited eagerly for a date for the publication of my first book or haven’t approached a publishing house or any related stuff. But yes, I have had my share of joys being appreciated by many. My real life friends, in WP and getting recognition. This all matters. May be in small small way, I am trying to make this world a better place. You are also doing the same π Please keep doing. Thank you Akiraa for your unending support π

I love the word AWESOME(may be Barney Stinson effect :D) We all are great, on the road to more greatness, with a great future ahead and great smiles on our faces and great kindness and sincerity within our hearts. Too much of greatness can’t be contained in a single sentence π

Loved your post and take on the prompt. Surely not everytime we need to be at a coffee shop to get inspired but it definitely invigorates on a dull and wordless day. Thanks for sharing your creation.

WOW! A writer’s only power is his/her words which is mostly measured as the “impact” it has on other’s mind. Places, resources…etc never define his/her words but Yes, they have sometime an impact on his/her brain….!! Lovely Read!!!
