Love the art.
Love the stunning art.
Live the art.
Then comes the artist.
We tend to incline towards the artist rather than respect the art.
Messi. Ronaldo. Both are great but the ultimate champion is football.
The ultimate winner.
Similarly, Eminem, Beethoven, MJ all are great but no one is greater than music itself.
No one can compare & tell that J. K. Rowling tops George R. R. Martin or vice versa.
No! They are writers. The world they portrayed is different. Hence the ultimate champion is us. The readers. No anyone of the whole bunch of writers.
So, we should learn to respect the art first & then the artist & not compare.
Our each days are different. How can 2 personalities be not different and some day one leads & some other day, the tables are turned.
All are champions as long as art is done with passion.
What is your take on this?

The post is undoubtedly true. But I think when you talked about writers, then their art aka their writings should be give more respect than the readers. Just my view. What you said was also right.

I agree Srishti. How can we not give credit to the artist because they make the art that we see, listen, feel and know. Giving credit is good. Taking pride for the creation of art by the artist is also good. Just not comparing the artists is what I am trying to emphasise. Rest all is fine 😉 bit I think the readers are in the most advantageous position. They pay some bucks or download the eBook and can visit good great lands of imagination 😉

Me taking pride is different and others comparing me or me comparing myself is different. The comparison is bad. Competition is good. But in the end, we all bow down to the art.

We are indeed important.. For world is a mosaic of many tiny things.. If you look at a tiny particle, it might not make sense.. Yet, the mosaic would be incomplete even without a single speck.. 😉

I completely agree: We privilege the art makers sometimes over the art itself sometimes.

Art just touches few hearts and those hearts turn them into Artists.
