2016 in nutshell

2016 is long gone,10 days into 2017, and this year has already started leaving its footprints in all our lives. Be sure that I ain’t gonna bore you with the highlights of 2016.

But I would just show you what all good things happened with me(read Smiles here and Smiles there 😛 )

I started making Vlogs and I think that was the best decision ever because it widens my thoughts and helps me help others in whatever way possible. Presently I have 65 subscribers on YouTube. My aim is to reach 1000 by the end of next year(I think I am being far fetched but I want to achieve the figure).

I also started meeting blogger friends in real life and it couldn’t be any better.

In 2016, I have met —

Reading books was slow this year but I am happy with the number of books I have been gifted and I have gifted, so 2017, BEWARE, I am going to read much more 😉

So, let’s see what happens this year but be sure there will be more meetings and more videos for sure 😉

AtoZ challenge Day01 (A for A@#!)

Today marks the 1st day of the A to Z challenge 2016. It’s my first time in the challenge & I am going to learn so many things all together.

“Smiles here & smiles there” has gone 1 level up from today. I have made a YouTube channel in which I will share inspirational thoughts & other random yet relevant thoughts & also some of my personal experiences. You can subscribe to the channel @ Darshith Badiyani.

For today’s alphabet ‘A’, I had many words to talk about like Amplify, Ascend, Attitude, Accept, Artificial, Aim but I didn’t on any of those. To check out the word on which I share my thoughts is in the below video.

Who asked the RIGHT question for me?

 

Where would I be?

What would I be doing?

Would I ever had been happy?

Would I ever had been complete?

Would my existence make any sense then?

The questions are endless

And so are the answers

But if you ask the RIGHT question

You’ll get the EXACT answer

Did I ever ask the right question?

Did I ever ask anything?

If not, then how did I end up

Getting the EXACT answer?

Life is tricky

It keeps on playing games with us

My answer was simple

It was to WRITE

Free-verse poetry

Let my fingers speak

Instead of my tongue

And let those written words

Spread smiles & make it contagious

The more the reach, the better

But we gotta start from zero always

I have started my journey

And I am loving it

Meeting new people

Learning new things

Sharing knowledge

And I am thankful for that

Unasked RIGHT question

Maybe someone else asked it for me

But anyhoo I am loving the journey

And would like you to continue

As long as possible

Highlights of 2015

“It’s been a long day

Without you my friend

I will tell you all about it

When I see you again”

 

And here we’re again. A new day, a new month and a new year. No doubt, 10 days are gone but still some part of the new-year-feeling is still lingering somewhere inside us. So, from my lingering feeling to your lingering feeling, a very Happy 2016 🙂

To understand life, we have to turn back and look at it. How we fared in the past. It’s time to think and make sure we don’t repeat the same mistakes again and don’t feel like standing at the same square one, where we were last year.

Each moment is different and my last year was unique in its own way.

I was followed by more 450+ people in WordPress in 2015. Definitely an achievement for me. In the beginning of 2015, I had thought a total of 100+ followers will be my goal. But in reality, I reached to somewhat 500+. Cloud ninety-nine feeling 😛

More the followers, more the interactions, more friends. I have made many friends from this community with various positive thoughts. We all learn from one another here.

Books have also been an important part of me as I read many books like Hope we never meet again by Srinath(a WP friend), Journey of my life by Jithin(another WP friend), Brida of Paulo Coelho, Siddhartha, Bhagvat Gita and many more. I never thought I will read Bhagavad Gita, but I am almost on the verge of finishing it and it is brilliant.

 

The chariot in which Lord Krishna rides Arjuna to the field of Mahabharat and the teachings of Bhagavad Gita is imparted to Arjuna. This statue is outside of a hotel in Bhubaneswar.

I have started book collection also and have now 25+ books with me. Hope it will be 50 by the end of 2016 😀

The best thing was I came close to nature. I traveled to places like Bangalore, Manali, Shimla, Amritsar and some native villages in Orissa itself. That really made me connect with nature. It has its own charm. A flower, so timid yet so beautiful that I won’t be bored looking at it for hours.

“Who loves music?” Everybody & Present-me 😀

I was not a big fan of music but since the month of September, every post I have shared here, I have shared a song with it. Many of you have also shared good music with me & that has really widened my music world. So, WordPress, Books & Music are done.

So, overall I learned to talk to people all over the world and read books and discuss stuff and traveling too 😉 All in all, 2015 was a great year and nothing much can be expected more from it.

2016 has also started with a bang. I will write about that eventually because this post is all about 2015 and let’s stick to it.

Have a great year ahead and post as much as possible because that is what counts 😛
