Yo!

I am back again! How are you guys? Watching FIFA WC 2018? If yes, which team are you supporting? Please tell Germany! 😀

There are life lessons in every simple thing. It’s on us to recognize and work on it.

For example, I support Germany in football and they lost their 1st game against Mexico. There are many friends and people who went ahead and criticized them. It is fine because they played poorly. But then, they are also human beings and once in a while, they cannot meet our expectations. Accept it! Own it!

Similarly, we suffer many failures in our lives, loss of dear ones, investing our time and energy in wrong places and wrong people, and then when we know it is not good, we become harsh on ourselves and don’t accept or own them. We don’t tell people that we did something wrong. We ignore those things.

But, if there is something good, like a good TV series recommendation, or a good book, we own it saying we recommended it.

So, if we learn to own the good, the bad, and the ugly things of OUR OWN life, then things would become better.

I would have loved to make a vlog and share along with this but I don’t know why I stopped making vlogs 😀 Trust me, I am going to make vlogs again, soon!

P.S.: Germany is out of FIFA WC 2018 because they played poor but they will be back just like previous times and I root for them. I trust them just like I trust myself.  Yo! Minor Achievement

Yo!

Good news!

I proudly declare that I have joined the league of normality, the league of good human beings, who don’t bite their nails 😀

I have(had) this bad habit of nail biting since my childhood and there was no way that I could get rid of it(I liked it) and now, it’s been a week since I have bit my nails.

Mostly while watching movies or football, it happens as a reflex, but I have been able to avoid it till now. I can be sure of my superpower when I will NOT bite my nails during the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Being a Manchester United fan, I would like Real Madrid to win and Ronaldo to score, but, being a Premier League fan, I would like the dominance of Spanish teams to decrease when it comes to Europe and hence would like Liverpool to win.

No matter what, we all would like to see a good, entertaining football game and goals ❤

I will also try to share a picture of my long nails soon 😛

Till then, keep smiling and try to use less plastic(please!)

P.S.: Almost half of 2018 is over and what did we achieve? Some of the many things. That’s progress! Are you reading anything? I am reading Daring Greatly by Brene Brown and it’s a great book! I have learned many things about shame and vulnerabilities from it. Will try to write something on it, once I am done reading it.

Art is the real champion..

Love the art.

Love the stunning art.

Live the art.

Then comes the artist.

We tend to incline towards the artist rather than respect the art.

Messi. Ronaldo. Both are great but the ultimate champion is football.

The ultimate winner.

Similarly, Eminem, Beethoven, MJ all are great but no one is greater than music itself.

No one can compare & tell that J. K. Rowling tops George R. R. Martin or vice versa.

No! They are writers. The world they portrayed is different. Hence the ultimate champion is us. The readers. No anyone of the whole bunch of writers.

So, we should learn to respect the art first & then the artist & not compare.

Our each days are different. How can 2 personalities be not different and some day one leads & some other day, the tables are turned.

All are champions as long as art is done with passion.

RIP Packed Sunday!!

I knew a long day was ahead and it turned out to be true. My weekends are far more busy than the weekdays.

Woke late because I was watching Homeland s02 late night yesterday. Went for haircut and this present haircut is not that good and I am not liking it 😦 but my Mother is assuring me that my hairs are gonna grow big by Wednesday, but she failed to mention which Wednesday 😀

After that, went to give “Boys over flowers” series to a friend. Then after getting fresh, went to do a noble job. Donated blood for the 4th time in life. It was good and joined as a member of the Angel’s organisation who was organising the blood camp. They are a bunch of great people who do many social services far more often.

Today was also the marriage of a friend’s sister. Went their travelling 30km. It was a great time spent with him & other friends together. While handing the gift to the Bride, I mistakenly, I repeat wrongly, wished ‘Happy Anniversary!!’ 😀 and the expression on the face of the Groom was like ‘What? Are you sane, Brother!! We just got married 3 hours ago’ and it was a facepalm moment and all I could utter was ‘Camera nervousness’ 😀 Wow, now can I BE more unmindful 😉

At the back of all this India lost the match to Australia in cricket, but gave a good fight. So happy with the contest.
Travelled back home. Now infront of TV, watching a much awaited match between Manchester City & Arsenal. At half time the score is 0-1. Gunners leading, thanks to Cazorla’s corner and now they lead against the last year’s champions.

12 hours of packed schedule on a sunday 😉 I didn’t get much chance to read Pride & Prejudice also.

After the match, Carrie & Brody of Homeland will be started. And after all, getting ready to face the monday blues and hope for a good week ahead. I am sure next weekend will also be same packed as this one.

Winter Solstice stay a little longer!!

Wow.. Weekend.. A book on the verge of completion.. A TV series on the end of yet another season.. A year at the brink of leaving us.. and the longest night of the year.. Yes, you guessed it right.. Come Sunday night, the Winter Solstice!!

Can’t wait.. Tonight come soon and stay a bit longer!! I am reading A Clash of Kings( Game of Thrones part 2) by George R.R. Martin.. Hopefully will complete it this weekend..
I have just 3 episodes of House of Cards s 02 left to complete.. Very Thrilling and man, Kevin Spacey has done wonders in it. The plot has been great and all the characters so thrilling and the suspense also keeps you glued to the laptop screen even it’s 4 am in the morning and you gotta go to office @ 10 am next day 😀

About 2014.. As usual full of ups and downs.. Happening year..
Had a great year in work.. learnt many things and made many friends who will definitely be with me for a long time to come.
Spent great time celebrating all the festivals. Some of my friends say, that out of 365 days in a year, we Gujurati’s spend 300 days in festivals. I can’t deny it, but it may be yes 100 days. Still a big number, but our festivals and puja are of just 30 minutes per day mostly, so its not that a big deal 😉
2 of my best friends got engaged.. Congrats guys.. Do share your experience of after-marriage with me.. So that I can decide whether to follow that path at a slow pace or rush to tie knot 😀
Watched TV series.. no bigga deal..
Read many novels.. yes this is an achievement since last year..
Saw FIFA WC and very happy that Germany won and Bow to Miroslav Klose for making me feel interested in the sport since 2002 WC in which Germany was the runners-up 😦
Participated in a Flash Mob. Yes, I like dancing, so again achievement.
The best part is resumed blogging.. Sometimes I just write stuff not to post but to preserve.. Had stopped blogging for a long time and happy that I resumed writing and have plans to continue doing it for a very long time to come..
Donated blood, joined as a member of some NGOs.. I love to think that ‘Every little help counts’

Morning shows the day!!

It was a “GOOD MORNING” today, rather than just MORNING!!
The Sun, has stayed hidden behind the clouds for quite some days and it was pouring rain in the morning.

Rainy morning!

Some of my colleagues are great fans of Football and follow the sport. They play football every Saturday morning. But today was different, cause I had geared up myself to go and play the sport with them. You can easily say that I am a novice in playing Football, as I have just been an audience to the Game. But, today I got to know the feeling of a player. The reflexes, the rush of impulse, the expectations within teammates to perform well. All of these packed in the moment.

The field we played, was not so huge but the passion within us to net the ball was immense. As it was raining heavily, there was mud all around and I should say that I fell the most number of times(6) on the field. I got to learn many new tactics from my colleagues of how to kick the ball longer and dribble. And yes, I headed the ball 3 times today! Yes, I am proud of that. The blackness that heading a football creates was new to me, which thankfully stayed for less than 2 seconds.

So, you must be guessing about the end scores, but it was 0-0, because both the Goalies were the stars and saved many attempts. And, the defense was also good. As it was just a friendly match within ourselves, I got to play as Forward, Defender and Goalie also 😀

Irrespective of the result of the game, the best thing is we enjoyed the rain, the game, the company of one another and the spirit of Doing Better!

FIFA WC 2014 has seriously has done something good for me. And I hope that Indian Super League(ISL) also does good for Football in India and helps India achieve greats heights.

Hoping for more Good Mornings like today and lets see what the rest of the day has in store for me.
