Lukewarm is no good

Remember that time
When you worked on your idea
Your desire
Your passion
Your happiness
And it felt good
Just thinking about it
That from tomorrow
You’ll start the work
Tomorrow came
But there were other stuff
To take care too
Other chores
Other people
Others
And you gave it a shot
But not your 100%
And it failed
Your passion collapsed
Your dream passed away
It left you behind
Because you were lukewarm
You were not the storm
Or the freezing cold
Or the scorching heat
You were just bleh
And you were left behind
Good things usually
Don’t come to those
Who lack passion
And definitely not to those
Who are lukewarm
You have to be the fire
You have to be the hurricane
Not knowing whether it will work or not
You have to give it all
Trust the process
Trust yourself
Not to say LIFE SUCKS OR I LOST
But to say I DIDN’T LOSE AND GAVE ME CENT PERCENT

P.S.: This week’s song is October by Alessia Cara. I am home and I read Looking for Alaska recently and loved the book. She was a hurricane and hence the above line. How are you all?

Yo! You! Happy Children’s day ;)

Trust me on this that I didn’t think of writing this post πŸ˜€

But, seeing people share their childhood pics and sharing posts which bring out the child in us, made me want to write this. After all, I am also a child inside πŸ˜‰

So, tell me, you think you’re crazier than me? You’re more childish than me? You’re more fun than me? You’re cute than me?

I bet I am best on all the above except cuteness because my mother(I call her Mother India) used to drink chocolate Horlicks when she was pregnant with me. It’s no fault of mine πŸ˜‰ But such is life. We get rewarded/punished for things we weren’t a part of and then sometimes, we escape from things which were to be blamed on us πŸ˜›

I wish I had kids so that I can post cute, crazy pics of them here πŸ˜‰ Anyone volunteeringΒ for making my this dream true?Β  πŸ˜‰ Hey! Listen, if you’re my relative or who thinks I am a good guy, this is a joke. If you’re really into me, this ain’t a joke, I am serious! πŸ˜€

Nevertheless, I love being a kid and I instantly like those who behave like one(and obviously are a kid inside) πŸ˜€ I won’t say I have had a harsh life, I have seen the worst of things in life, I haven’t. But yeah, I have had my days, tough days, and here I am all risen, all shining. We all have to fall, and then rise, because that’s how life is. That’s how we grow up. That’s how we mature. That’s how we start to realize the small things of life like eating a lollipop or Poppins πŸ˜‰

So, I will also share some of my funny pics and you’re free to judge me and also my friends πŸ˜‰ Happy Children’s day to one and all.

P.S.: Keep holding on to the child in you πŸ˜› Hence today’s song Hold on by Michael Buble πŸ˜‰ How are you? How is November going? I think I am back to writing blogs again and my videos have dried up, but I will be back πŸ˜€ Just hold on to me coming back for you πŸ˜‰ If you don’t know, check out my YouTube channel Darshith Badiyani. The generation gap

Yo!

Is it not a pleasant surprise that y’all are getting notification that DARSHITH PUBLISHED A NEW BLOG on Smiles here & smiles there πŸ˜€

I am back again πŸ˜› This time around I will be discussing the Generation Gap we all face πŸ˜‰

I am a 90’s kid and it was a great time to grow up seeing Sachin Tendulkar’s God-style play. Seeing Zidane/Messi/Ronaldo/Cristiano Ronaldo play ❀ Also more and more rising footballers too πŸ˜€ I also watched Shaktiman and loved the Maggi breakfast when I was a kid πŸ˜‰

Last month I went to Gujarat along with my parents and sisters and it was a great time there. We have relatives there and as it was a family trip, it was filled with visits to temples and spending quality time with relatives and one another.

The thing which strikes me the most is how within 20-30 years, the way of thinking has changed among us.

Just a little background about my parents, they love God more than they love each other and they are great devotees. Every day. they will get ready in the morning and before going to work, they will pray God and worship him. And during special occasions like Diwali, Holi, family member’s bdays, they insist on going to the temple for blessings. Don’t take me wrong, I kind of don’t believe this logic. But, as they believe in this, I try to follow whenever I can, for them.

What struck me surprising is when my father bought 5 liters of milk to give as an offering to God and the temple people said that they will offer the next day andΒ I am very much sure that they will sell the same 5 liters of milk to several people and keep the earned money with them. I am not saying it’s wrong. It’s just not good and on top of that, how foolishly people believe them saying it’s for God.

I understand that my parents had the right amount of devotion for their God but I don’t see why they had to do something out of the extraordinary like offering milk without any guarantees. And if they want, they could have given it to some needy people and get the blessings from real people instead. It’s their choice and I tried to state my POV and of course, was asked to not interfere πŸ˜›

And hence the train of thoughts ran wild. I thought of how so much money was looted by all these temples and the Babas. Why? Because they were playing with the innocence of the people and then these people, liked to be played on πŸ˜€

I saw such behavior from others and my parents throughout the trip of 5-6 days, which comprised of visiting around 8-10 temples. And then, it struck me. The answer.

And the answer is this blog’s title, The generation gap, and I will explain how.

Previously, like 20-30 years back, people used to invest in buying houses and cars and fancy, expensive stuff. It’s good. People still do that. But, our generation believes in experiences, in feeling new things, visiting new places because we try to live in the present. We don’t know where we will be after 1 year, say 5 years, so it doesn’t quite make sense to buy a house.

And then I got the answer. I would give away anything for travel, for good art, for good companionship, for a great experience, a new one. This is me and I hope, this is mostly 60-70% of 90’s onwards kids. How I worship art and creativity is the same way in which my parents and many more people worship God. It’s that simple, but, simple things are hard to get.

My Facebook post was “Is the art greater than the artist?”

The best response I got is by Saurabha Wankhede, “Let me give you an example.
Once Swami Vivekananda went to the darbar of Maharaja Mangal Singh who was a popular king at Alwar, Rajasthan.
The king always criticised image worship.
Swamiji had the portrait of the king brought down and asked the courtiers to spit on it.
When they refused to do so,
Swamiji pointed out to the king that there is no flesh or bone of the king in the picture, it nevertheless represents him.
Likewise, people worship stone or idol images remembering God alone.
The idol is considered God,
and it becomes the same,
Because no one can perceive God directly like a formless thing.
So though we create idols but it still has a greater value.
Obviously, it has.
You send your prayers or energies through the idol towards God.
It becomes a symbol of being holy and a place of worship.
When you attach yourself to God you become greater in all aspects as you join the supreme infinite power.
Also, one devotee can inspire and make many other worships God.
Similarly, when an artist creates art, he/she becomes greater and so is the art adored more by other people through the efforts of that person.”

I am sorry to make you confused regarding your thoughts on all this. But, what you can do is share your POV and then we can discuss along. What do you think about the Generation gap?

P.S.: Yo! Happy weekend! Do listen to Malibu by Miley Cyrus ❀ I am planning to make more videos. So, stay tuned and do subscribe to my YouTube channel @ Darshith Badiyani.

POV!

How was the weekend?

For us, it was a long weekend because of Diwali. But as always, the weekends rushes by at the speed of light and the weekdays drags itself at the speed of a snail.

We’re back again in our respective cubicles, doing our respective work, savoring our respective favorite coffee in our respective mugs πŸ˜€

So, as we’re talking so much about PERSPECTIVE, let’s talk in details.

We all have our respective perspective of Life πŸ˜‰ As Dirish says, “We all have our own A take on Life” and that’s true!

Since last many a weeks, I have been learning things. Things related to perspective by talking to more people, by listening to them, by trying to see from their POV. It is helping a bit but it’s difficult to think from their perspective.

I think all my life(which is mere 26 years), I have been trying to look at everything from my perspective and never think about the other person. It may be because of several reasons. No one pointed this out to me earlier, hence I didn’t realize it. Now as I am being questioned, I am feeling cornered that how can anything be wrong when the perspective is correct?

POVs are a great way to express our thoughts and again a great way to get out of any situation, but when we realize that our perspective has been defeated and that other’s perspective is more purposeful and right, then what do we do?

That’s what I am going through. I am not saying, I am wrong or I am right. I am just saying that I don’t see my POV as the BEST anymore and that I have to consider other’s perspective too.

There’s a quote by someone very talented, “We judge those whom we don’t know, and if we don’t know them, why do we have to judge them?” πŸ˜€

09594a9314bc824b45018aacd91f0d6e

I don’t know why there is so much of confusion within me nowadays that it’s started to make kind of a mess. I sincerely feel like the above quote by Mr. Lennon ❀ I love that guy and his words and his songs. This quote, in particular, is close to me. I feel like a loser and God, all at the same time πŸ˜€

Hope I can sort things out sooner rather than later. I think traveling will help me and I am doing that now on a regular basis. If any of my friends are available then with them or else I love to travel solo too ❀ What are your preferences while traveling? You like to pack everything with you or you keep it light? Do you call yourself a traveler or a tourist?

P.S.: I was reading one of the previous blogs of mine called REINS and I loved it. I loved the flow with which it was written. The connection, the beauty. Now when I sit to write, it’s all confusion and haphazard and not pleasing. Recently I am listening to an old favorite song Bubblin by Blue. Taming my own demons

It’s difficult, just like everything else. Or, it’s easy, just like everything else.

Henry Ford rightly said, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re right.”

With me, it’s the same. And I am sure, with you all, it’s the same too. But my inner heart says that most of us just fail to have a strong will power of DOING IT. Β To have a strong will power means to have a strong character. To have a strong character means to have a strong guidance throughout our life(childhood, youth, and next). To have good guidance means to have good people around ourselves everywhere(home, office, friends). So finally, to have good people around ourselves, we ourselves have to be good first. To be a good person, we have to be good at heart.

18402624_1943491299218918_5609608320332032889_n

To become or remain good we have to tame our demons, regularly. It’s similar to an app’s update because new changes and features keep on coming. Or, new bugs like the Ransomware virus ruling the market since 2 days. So, it’s important to evolve and keep on taming our demons to stay good and then only good things will happen.

How to tame our demons? Good that you ask. First, we have to be strong mentally to face them, keeping aside our fear of facing and also the fear of losing. Then, we have to prepare for the face-off. What to do when we actually face our demons? What tricks we can play? Like Mohandas Ranchod Das’ words from the Movie ‘3 idiots’, i.e., ‘Aal izzΒ welll’, we have to keep on reminding ourselves that no matter the outcome, it’s always in our favor or whatever happens, happen for a reason and we just have to try and forget about the outcome.

Taming is not an easy process and a time consuming one too but it definitely gives the expected result if tried regularly and with dedication. Many try to stop smoking or drinking or biting nails(yeah, that’s me!) but we fail the first time. Forget the first time, we fail the 50th time too. I have always failed in the case of biting nails but in the back of my mind, it’s there. I want to get rid of this bad habit and someday I will. When I will be mentally ready and then, I will let you all know about it.

We have to keep on fighting and trying to be better the next day always. That’s the key. One of the other reasons is in the below video. Feel free to have a look.

P.S.: Today’s song pick is All my LovingΒ of Paul McCartney. I love this song and this guy and Paul is in Pirates of Carribean 5 movie so it will be interesting. See you soon and how are you all? Miss me? Want me to travel to a place? Want me to gift you a book? Please let me know in the comment section ❀

What you do in the weekends..

Seriously! You have come to this post to know what to do in the weekends?

Nice! I will share what I do and I would like to do πŸ˜‰

What I do in the weekends–
= Spend quality time with friends
= Roam near about B’lore because we are new to this city and one can always get to see beautiful girls around πŸ˜›
= Go to parties and pubs and talk to strangers(read gals) and be-friend them πŸ˜‰
= Make motivational videos because it’s almost impossible to make them in the weekdays
= Do office work because work never ends 😦
= Watch some movies(because I am not watching TV shows anymore)

And yes, the weekend is done and dusted and bids adieu far earlier than expected 😞
Tell me, what do you do in the weekend? No matter weekend or weekday, all we gotta make sure that we have a good night’s sleep and for that, we gotta toil hard, watch out for our dear ones, try to spread smiles, and feel content no matter the situation we are in. No doubt, tomorrow will definitely be more good, more beautiful, more bright, more awesome, just like you, so try to make your today the best.
Yo! No shave November is on πŸ˜‰ what is up with you, guys? Enjoying life? Enjoying weekend? Keep smiling and spread smiles and if you want me to make videos on any topic, do let me know πŸ˜‰
