Art to the rescue

Art had never taken a back-seat

It was always the savior of human life

The biggest contributing factor for keeping us sane

Through thick and thin

And definitely during this pandemic

When going out is restricted

When staying home is the safest thing to do

When being self-dependent is the best choice

Where being online and working is the most draining chore

But then still we’re left with time

With extra energy and instead of indulging

In scrolling through social media

We can take help of Art

Just like we have done since the beginning of time

We can read, paint, draw, sew, sleep

We can have our proper “me-time”

And trust Art to keep us sane

To make us creative

To help us feel confident

To help us smile more

To help us and help the world around us.

P.S.: Hello, folks! How are you? Hope you and your family are safe during this pandemic situation. Today’s song pick is Honeybee by The head and the heart.

Others and us

Sometimes it feels like
We know others better
Than we know ourselves
And it feels true
And it is true too
In today’s world
We’re bombarded with so much information
We try to apply it all
Our knowledge about others
And we feel pride
That we know and sometimes
We judge others too
Not realizing
That if we would apply the same
On to ourselves
We would have become a more better person
A more understanding person
And this would lead us to more happiness
Because we would know how and what to tune in ourselves
To link to the channel of happiness
Now that we know more about others
We decide frequently
To try to find someone new
To know
To understand
And hence we keep on hoping from person to person
What would be ideal is?
Knowing thyself
Believing in us
And trying to talk
Trying to communicate
And express
And live a life of abundance

Mothers, prayers, and what not

I have seen my mother pray
Pray with full dedication
As if nothing else exists
As if nothing else matters
She prays for everyone
Maybe except for herself
Sometimes she cries
Something has to be bothering her
She doesn’t want to share it with us

Today, I was at a church in Kanyakumari
On my path to self-discovery
Reading The pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho there
And penning down some of my thoughts
I heard some sobs and crying
On looking, I saw a mother
Praying to Jesus
Asking for some fortunate events maybe
While her two kids were sleeping on the floor
Tears running down her cheeks
With a religious book in her hand
With thousands of thoughts in her mind
Of the imminent future
And the testing present

And then she calmed down
Bowed in front of Him
And kissed the kids
Woke them up and off they went

Maybe, my mother cries for the same reason while praying
For her kids, her family
Seldom for herself
And now what makes me cry
Is that my mother cries for others
And so does her son.

Amen!

P.S.: Happy 2020, fellas! 😛 How are you all? Today’s song pick is Khud se by Osho Jain.

Kitty and humans!

Oh, the kittens!
So cute
So vibrant and excited
About anything and everything
In front of them
They play with the balloons
The balls
The ropes
The mat
Your legs
Everything excites them
Makes them jump in the air
Anything can distract them
From their present attention
That is how we humans are too
Distracted by anything
Being excited by everything
Not in favor of boredom
And we definitely categorize
Self-love and self-care in the boredom category
And hence we try to know and understand the world
But fail to understand ourselves
So, we blame others
We blame things outside our control
Never satisfied
Never content
Always running
Always distracted
That’s us
So much similar to cats

P.S.: Today’s song pick is She’s on my mind by JP Cooper. The kitty’s name is Zoobi ❤ Happy Tuesday 😛

Oh! Close your eyes!

Yeah!
To feel your thoughts
Close your eyes
Just like I did
While doing yoga
It was serene
Darkness everywhere
And then comes a ray of hope
A lingering bright light
Not willing to leave me behind
It wants my company
While it traverses throughout my body
My own body
Through my veins
My nerves
From the top of my head
Because that is where it originates
To the last cell on my toe
The entire process is experienced by me too
As I were there with that bright light
Feeling its smile and warmth
How it lit up my body parts
Winked at me when I was in awe
I smiled back
Because I knew that we were friends
And would be meeting more often
And then I opened my eyes
With the same bright smile
On my lips
Which I had in my thoughts
And life was so easy and so different
Each and every moment of the day

P.S.: Today’s song pick is Love Someone by Lukas Graham. Hello, guys! I have started going to yoga and some fitness classes and it is fun and tiring. You can share your experiences related to these to help me be prepared mentally and physically 😉 No copyrights for the image 😛

Give it time

When I was a kid
A cute, innocent kid
I was nervous
Ask me anything
And I would start sweating
And it was so ingrained in my mind
That before anyone would come near me
I would start sweating
Such is life, my dear friend
Then I passed my academics
With the nervousness still within me
When I moved to a new city
Didn’t know the names of the places
Where to go?
How to go?
Whom to ask?
And it was all filled with the nervousness
And it still is
But the past lessons have taught me
That it has to be done
Something has to be done
If not confidently, I gotta do it nervously
And so, I do it
And the main difference now is
I sweat less during the buildup
To some new experience
Because previously I used to have
The outcome inscribed in my mind before jumping in
And this thought process used to bug me before its time
Now, there’s no conclusion anymore
There’s room for learning and enjoying it
And after reality, the conclusion is thought of
Good or bad, it had to be lived
And hence giving it time
And a bit of understanding
Has helped me learn some valuable lessons
So, people, what are you worried about? 😉

P.S.: Happy weekend to you all 😀 Today’s song is Call me Sir by Travie McCoy. If you have 1 hour time and want to use it to the maximum, please watch the below video of Yuval Noah Harari, author of Sapiens.

The fear of walking in the dark

Yeah, it is dark everywhere
Pitch black
Not another speck
Not a sound
All silent
I can hear my own breath
The inhaling
A pause
The exhaling
This giving me chills
Giving me goosebumps
But still
Here I am
Walking in the dark
Fighting the fear of it
Because that’s how I will be strong
This walk
Will either make me or break me
But I need a change
I need to overcome my fear
And this is how I deal with it
Avoiding it is not my cup of tea
Going headstrong is
And that is what I am doing
Feeling that fear
Claiming it as my own
Taming it
And I am sure
I will see that light
That hope
Which will make me victorious
Which will give me satisfaction
Which will give me strength for
All the next battles
Coming my way
Now, I know the feeling
It is my own
And now I can walk fearlessly in the dark

P.S.: Hope we all can see the hope at the end of our problems. Good day. How are you, people? Today’s song pick is Everytime we touch by Cascada. Next video named FREQUENCIES – Part 1 is out. Hope you can connect to it. Welcome to my YouTube channel, Darshith Badiyani.

Unrealistic dreams & realistic goals

Yo!

‘I will go to the moon’ & ‘I will go to the moon tomorrow’ has a lot of difference. And the word is ‘tomorrow’.

The former represents a far-away realistic dream because I can achieve it(if I aspire for it) and the later represents an unrealistic dream because I don’t have the proper academics or the links to go to the moon tomorrow 😋

So, the time frame is a major factor for categorizing our dreams as realistic or unrealistic.

So, knowingly or unknowingly, we all have broken our dreams and goals into long-term dreams and short-term goals.

In this case, ‘going to the moon’ can be a long-term dream and the realistic short-term goals can include getting proper education and working as an astronaut to achieve it. Now, at present, I don’t have any.

And hence, if I dream of ‘going to the moon tomorrow’, I hope for all of to agree, that it kind of seems unrealistic.

So where am I heading to?
We all have dreams of getting better jobs, getting more salary, traveling more, being more jovial, and many more.

So, we can safely think of the above list as UNREALISTIC DREAMS because these are long-term goals(even if the duration of long-term is as less as 1 week) 😋

So, to achieve any of the above, we have to prepare, we have to make some realistic short-term goals like studying consistently (for a better job), or finalizing a destination for the next trip and with whom would we love to go there(for more traveling).

Why I am thinking of this approach is because Maths told me so. I cannot go from 1 to 10 by not going through 2,3,4,…,9 😉 so as per me, the unrealistic dream is 10, and I am standing at 1, and the realistic goals are each of 2,3,…,9 😎

And following this logic of long-term dreams and short-term goals, before you know, you’ll be standing there at 9 and taking a deep breath and in slow motion step on 10 with a feeling of a champion! 😍

So, are you ready to become a champion? This is the chance.

P.S.: A humble request is to please read as many books as possible and also each person has different ways of achieving their dreams and if your method is simpler and better than this, please feel free to let me know. The difference in Pizza toppings

Yo! How are you?

You like pizza? You love pizza? Pizza is love ❤️

So ever notice that the base/size of the pizza is the same and based on the different toppings, the price of the pizza varies. This is not something new. It’s an old theory.

Just like the vessel and the contents in it. Usually, we fall for the vessel but the content is important. Based on the best toppings, the price is more. Similarly, based on the pure and positive content of our thoughts, satisfaction in life is more.

So, what you waiting for? Go and hog your favorite pizza but remember to add good, positive, creative, classy content in your thoughts too.

Bbye for now! Enjoy the fooking weekend 😎

Pain in the head >> pain in the ass

Yo!

Making my stance clear, I have not suffered much health-related pain in my life, yet. The major and difficult chunk is yet to come(read old age-related health issues).

Still, from my amateur experience, I feel that headache is so dangerous and unsettling. It doesn’t let us sleep, eat, talk, or do any other thing properly.

Since my childhood, I have had very fewer interactions with a headache and when my father used to have a headache, I used to think, headaches are not that bad to not eat dinner or talk with anyone and go to bed early and feeling this crazy level of uneasiness.

Now, for me, the jolts of headaches are kind of regular and those times are unnerving. Nothing seems to make sense except getting rid of this pain in my head which is far more than all the pain in the ass wrt people and work.

Growing up makes us realize some things, either for better or for worse. A headache is definitely for the worse.

Sleep was something which always worked for me in almost every situation. Fight with someone, sleep on it. Mood off, sleep on it. Having problems understanding things, sleep on it. But with a headache, sleep doesn’t come so easily and so I have started relying on vomiting.

It’s not something that I can control but mostly it is because of internal chaos and the best way I have found is to get it out and then headache seems to pass by slowly and sleep starts coming my way.

Was this a rant? No!
Was this an informative blog? Definitely, no! Have I ever written anything informative? 😂
Was this just to eat up your time and make myself feel superior? C’mon! Now, don’t make me spill the truth 😋

P.S.: I watched a movie named Road to Sangam and it was good. It’s about how people from different religions (Hindu and Muslim) come together following the path of non-violence set by Mahatma Gandhi. This blog’s song is Girls like You by Maroon 5 ft. Cardi B. As always, new motivational videos coming on my YouTube channel, Darshith Badiyani 😉 And, I am reading How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie. It is brilliant and better things related to the book are coming soon via blogs and vlogs. Also, credits to http://www.menshealth.com for the featured image.
