If I don’t take care of myself
If I am not my own priority
I am grateful for these selfish thoughts
It has made me happy
It has given me time to invest on things I love
I am happy to be selfish if that makes me happy
Because smiles here, on my face, are important
So are yours, but first,
smiles here and then smiles there
If it is smiles there first,
then for you, it is too,
smiles here and smiles there,
So always the first person,
I, me, myself
I am grateful for such happy times

Last weekend I went on a #soloTrek to Shivagange and I loved it. You can tell I am selfish. The hell I care. I love to spend time with myself. If you don’t love/like to be alone, trust me, you’re boring. Start making your life an adventure. Do things you fear. I feared to go on a solo trek, I did it. I conquered it. I was 2640.3 feet above the ground, bare foot, scared, but moving forward. I have shared pics and videos of the place. Feel free to go to the place, if you’re near by Bangalore.

Do you know what I did last February?

As I mentioned in my last blog Struggling days and me, I have resigned from my job because I got a good opportunity somewhere else. I did all the hard work in my previous job and I was not there to reap what I sow 😛

Now I am serving my notice and I can’t be sadder because of the bonds I have formed here and the love I have received. Still, one has to go for his betterment. My time has come.

It’s just that I hadn’t written since a long time and I DO NOT ever want to walk away from my writings or traveling. Everything else is fine. Jobs come and go, people come and go, happiness comes and go, love come and go. What stays is football and passion(writing/reading/video making) ❤

How was your Valentine’s month? Mine was good because I roamed with bloggers and attended weddings of Pratyusha & Nimitha ❤

Highlights of 2015

“It’s been a long day

And here we’re again. A new day, a new month and a new year. No doubt, 10 days are gone but still some part of the new-year-feeling is still lingering somewhere inside us. So, from my lingering feeling to your lingering feeling, a very Happy 2016 🙂

To understand life, we have to turn back and look at it. How we fared in the past. It’s time to think and make sure we don’t repeat the same mistakes again and don’t feel like standing at the same square one, where we were last year.

Each moment is different and my last year was unique in its own way.

I was followed by more 450+ people in WordPress in 2015. Definitely an achievement for me. In the beginning of 2015, I had thought a total of 100+ followers will be my goal. But in reality, I reached to somewhat 500+. Cloud ninety-nine feeling 😛

More the followers, more the interactions, more friends. I have made many friends from this community with various positive thoughts. We all learn from one another here.

Books have also been an important part of me as I read many books like Hope we never meet again by Srinath(a WP friend), Journey of my life by Jithin(another WP friend), Brida of Paulo Coelho, Siddhartha, Bhagvat Gita and many more. I never thought I will read Bhagavad Gita, but I am almost on the verge of finishing it and it is brilliant.

 

The chariot in which Lord Krishna rides Arjuna to the field of Mahabharat and the teachings of Bhagavad Gita is imparted to Arjuna. This statue is outside of a hotel in Bhubaneswar.

I have started book collection also and have now 25+ books with me. Hope it will be 50 by the end of 2016 😀

The best thing was I came close to nature. I traveled to places like Bangalore, Manali, Shimla, Amritsar and some native villages in Orissa itself. That really made me connect with nature. It has its own charm. A flower, so timid yet so beautiful that I won’t be bored looking at it for hours.

I was not a big fan of music but since the month of September, every post I have shared here, I have shared a song with it. Many of you have also shared good music with me & that has really widened my music world. So, WordPress, Books & Music are done.

So, overall I learned to talk to people all over the world and read books and discuss stuff and traveling too 😉 All in all, 2015 was a great year and nothing much can be expected more from it.

2016 has also started with a bang. I will write about that eventually because this post is all about 2015 and let’s stick to it.

Have a great year ahead and post as much as possible because that is what counts 😛

The chain of extinct.. Hope to break the chain in future..

Blogging and writing has become a part of me since months.

But, in the past, there were people and things, which were also a part of me. But, now I don’t think about neither.

Will blogging also become extinct to me?

Do you people feel the same kind of confusions of life?

What I love the most is the blogs(no doubts) but also the way people share their thoughts/views/suggestions in the comments section and the author appreciates it and shows gratitude. So I would say, comment section is the best here 😛

How to add permalink in WP in the simplest and perfect way.

This post is not about Rocket science. Nor is it about some breaking news 😀

It’s about just some basic WordPress information. I know most of us know this. If you know, then you can skip reading the post. But, don’t be harsh enough not to LIKE/COMMENT the post 😛

Coming back, it’s about adding a PERMALINK to the text.

I won’t tell the TECHNICAL and TEDIOUS method of linking a post/website to the text. It is via using the HTML section from the WP editor. And, you gotta have knowledge on HTML writing and add the URL link to <a>.[See the area marked as “X” in the image]

See, your interest to complete the post is decreasing already. So, skip it 😀

The easy way is : 

1. Select the text you want to add the permalink to.[See the area marked as “1” in the image]
2. Click on the insert/edit icon on the toolbar of the WP editor.[See the area marked as “2” in the image]
3. Add the URL to the place provided.(You can open the URL in the same tab or new tab by using check/uncheck).[See the area “3” in the image]

But, there’s always a but 😀 You can see the extra other things also which you can do. And, these are the MORE essential things also related to PINGBACKS.

1. If you want to, and you DEFINITELY WANT TO, let the person whose URL you’re using know about the pingback, then you HAVE to make sure you use a VALID URL.
2. By VALID URL, I mean, there must be a comment box present in the URL you are using, so that your PINGBACK will be added there.
3. Mostly, we use the URL of the main site as “darshith0000.wordpress.com”. This is not gonna notify the user, that He has been pinged back. Instead, if you use the ABOUT page or any blog’s URL, it will add a pingback and let the user know.

I want to take sometime out of my schedule which is not always this busy as the last few weeks.
Yes, I want to thank God(in all forms of all religions), your parents, your surroundings, your options & your decisions, your life partner, your friends, your chain of thoughts, your patience, your overall life and most of all Volkswagen because you ended up here.

What? This isn’t Volkswagen?? Oh I always confuse WordPress with Volkswagen as their logo’s are so very same.

At least they seem same to me. And I get confused because I m not a big fan of cars & all, just know the existence of them 😛 please don’t start hating me for this 😀

So coming to the point, instead of Volkswagen, its WordPress yes 🙂 I want to thank all those things which have made you what you are today & got you here in WP and we are friends here !! It’s so nice to make new friends here all over the world & I love the idea of like minded people gathered together at a place #PicturePerfect
