Never did I think
As a kid
That some day
I will write
Write my heart out
And there
Will be people
Out there reading
My work
My art
Appreciating it
Relating with it
Accompanying me
On my journey
Sharing my thoughts
Sharing my views
Sharing my life per se
And it is true
It is not that easy
This journey of Life
And we need friends
We need support
We need companion
We need love
Some people
Act as hurdles
On this journey
Decreasing our speed
Sometimes, bringing us
To hault
But, once we have
Crossed the hurdle
It won’t disturb us anymore
Some people
Are like
Light poles
They lighten
Our paths
So that we can
Easily overcome
The hurdles
But, these
Light poles are left
Behind when we keep
On progressing
Ahead
Some are like
Torches
We keep them with Us
Always
Because
We trust them
And in need
We seek their help
And they seldom
Fail to our expectations
And help us
When we think
Every other option
Was gone
It’s never ever
About the

This is in response to Kritika’s Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge. Thank you Kritika for giving me this wonderful opportunity to express my thoughts in a different manner.

The challenge is – “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”

  1. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Rarely do I encounter a blog that’s
    equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you have hit the nail on the head.
    The issue is something that not enough folks are
    speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy I found this during my hunt
    for something regarding this.

  6. Light poles and torches. 🙂 I like that, the analogy. And hehe, the “Final Destination” lines remind me of the movie. 😛 Couldn’t help but digress, but again, you’re right. The journey is the destination. :-/ So, our destination keeps changing? Huh. You’ve got me thinking, now.

    • Why will the destination change? Now you are making me confused 😀 Our life is a journey, so it is bound to have many left turns, right turns & some U-turns 😉 Yes, I guess it’s changing. Yeah, the movie is okay-ish and good also 😀 Thank you Sheth for appreciating the idea behind the post 🙂

      • Well, a journey is something where you don’t stay at the same place, right? Whereas, destination means a single place. So, if a journey is the destination, the destination keeps changing. Confusing, yes. 🙂 … My interpretation of it, though. The movie brings back memories for me. 🙂 And, thanks for writing something that allows one actually think and dwell on it!
