I will share SOME quotes related to 1 game. The game called CHESS. Google says it was invented in India 😀 It was named “Chaturanga” 😉
FYI, I lost the game of Chess, which I played last some weeks back with my cousin. He was the author of the post : The dark side of love 🙂
You can check all the quotes here .
I have included some of them. Remember, all are related to the game of Chess.

Okay, so let me start with my thesis. You have touched a weak nerve by writing about chess, it’s one of my favourite games. All the quotes are nice. I just have issue with the concept of this game. The King which is actually good for nothing has to be protected in the entire game, this is so irritating. I am more torturously affected when my queen dies rather than if I lose the game. I think most of the people will relate to this, you are more woebegone when your queen no longer exists than when the King is check mated. When the war takes place the King do not hide behind his soldiers, he is the attacker then why not here? The King is the most powerful but not here, why?
Anyway, I just realised most of the things weren’t related to the post. 😛

Because the King is a coward? Have you seen Game of Thrones? Jeffrey do not lead because he’s a coward. But for him, many of his people die in the battle. Just a random, 3 am thought 😛 Queen is awesome & it’s good to know that there are many who love chess and are ready to contradict the basics of this game 🙂 Quora can help, may be 😉

Yeah I have seen a couple of episodes of the series, frankly I can’t understand the hype of the show. But yeah totally. I just think why am I protecting someone who can’t protect himself? And then I find the answer in the question itself.

It’s simple. We protect the old & young(kids) or diseased. As per the game and this world, King holds a high place ie power but it doesn’t ever show the caliber or skill of the king on the battlefield. A pawn is a skillful person. May be 😀 just as we need help sometimes of others, we gotta help others too 😉 In chess, King needs help, big time 😛

Yeah that’s what I meant when I said I get the answer in the question itself. But again I do adore the queen.
Also it just instantly came to me. I read sometime back which goes something like this, even the game of chess endorses racism, if doesn’t then why the White piece is moved first.
Also, now I realised after our extended conversation of queen and King, that perhaps on one hand it affirms racism, on the other it subverts the patriarchal notion of women.

Yeah, you make sense 😀 good that we’re able to shake hands and understand each other’s words 😉 if we give necessary thoughts to anything, then everything makes sense and things become clear 🙂

Or you can also take it this way that Queen(feminine) is the most powerful on the board. Just in the minds or in the rule book, the King is higher but not really 😉
