Books and movies and series. What’s your hierarchy?

Are you a reader?

Good. Which book are you reading now?

Do you like to watch movies/series after reading the book?

Or the other way round?

Or, just read the book or watch the movie and never go through the counter-part?

I am one of the former and hence a lot of movies and series are lined up πŸ˜‰

But, in case of Game of Thrones, I saw the series and for the sake that I couldn’t control not knowing what is to happen next, started it’s book(because waiting for just 10 episodes for a year is too boring and reading is always interesting). It’s super awesome.

The theme song of the series is here.

The cover of the theme song(instrumental) by one of my favorite band, Boyce Avenue is here.

I love the Boyce avenue one better than the original one.

Happy Weekend.

What you reading or watching or out for an adventure? πŸ˜€

  1. Yes I read books. I am reading The Racketeer, The Connected Age and The Book Thief.
Yes I like watching movies and series after reading. I prefer to keep it that way. Because, it lets my imagination flow when I read. But once I watch, I know what is going to happen & so, it might affect my reading.
There have been situations when I did not read after watching the movie – Life of Pi & Chronicles of Narnia are a few to name.
I watched all 5 seasons of GOT and I badly want to read them so that I can get the true emotions of each of the character (Which normally cannot be aptly portrayed in movies). πŸ™‚
Btw, the cover is beautiful. Thanks for sharing πŸ˜€

    • Thanks Rangelz for your comment πŸ™‚ You’re reading 3 books parallelly? Wow πŸ˜‰ Yeah, I saw Life of Pi & Narnia & Lord of the rings too and won’t read the books now πŸ˜€ GOT is awesome and you should read also, if you get time. I am also reading from PDF, so that helps πŸ™‚ It’s intriguing πŸ˜‰

      • Sort of. I had to stop Racketeer halfway through. Then, I got The Book Thief which I was eager to read. So started with that. But due to exams, I stopped it too. I resumed Racketeer, meanwhile, I had to review The Connected Age. I normally don’t prefer parallel reading. This sort of happened. πŸ˜›
Oh yes. LOTR too. I read half, then watched the movies after which I didn’t resume the books.
I will definitely read GOT. That man George RR Martin is crazy and now he’s driving the entire world crazy with his writings πŸ˜€

        • GRRM is not only crazy but also old πŸ˜‰ and if something is going to happen to him for that then I tell you, there can be riots and global strikes πŸ˜€ Mark my words πŸ˜› Oh twisted scenario of parallel book reading πŸ˜‰ I have never read parallel yet. Always finish or leave midway the previous book(I am not proud of this) πŸ˜›

  2. Hey Darshith! I don’t watch the movie after reading a book because my imagination is anytime better than the way it is potrayed in movies. Also it’s always quite different from and disappointing. I have nominated you for the sunshine blogger award. To know more about The Sunshine Blogger Award. – http://wp.me/p6mGGs-2s
